HUGE News on the public education front!
Last week, CALN reported that a California School District contracted a group called ‘Woke Kindergarten’ to train their teachers in “abolitionist early education and pro-black and queer and trans liberation.” Hayward Unified School District, located in Alameda County, CA, paid $250,000 of federal money on a three-year contract with the group. The contract had been in effect for two years, and students’ test scores have dropped significantly since the group’s involvement in their education.
When this became national news last week, concerned Americans from coast to coast made their voices heard on the matter. This has proven incredibly effective.
The Herzog Foundation’s news publication, The Lion, has reported that Hayward Unified School District has ended the contract due to the nationwide backlash! Glassbrook Elementary School, where the contract was in effect, will no longer be working with Woke Kindergarten to indoctrinate their students.
This shows that when concerned citizens speak out against gross missteps like this, progress will be made. Everyone has a part to play in protecting our children. By standing up on behalf of our students, you truly do make a difference!
