This privacy policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by CALN with respect to your use of the site and mobile applications which display this Policy (the “Site”) so you can make an informed decision about using the Site. This Policy also applies to personal information collected on other web sites on our behalf by third party vendors. We reserve the right to change the provisions of this Policy at any time. We will alert you that changes have been made by indicating on the Policy the date it was last updated. Please note that we may still send you other types of emails, such as emails about your use of our Sites, or use information as otherwise described in this Policy, even if you opt out of receiving email updates and newsletters. Changes to information in your account do not affect information provided to others as set forth in this Policy, including in connection with petitions that have been previously shared with like-minded candidates, organizations, groups or causes. INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN:
While CALN is laser-focused on school children and both their academic and personal achievement and enrichment, our website is for adults only, and we take rigorous measures to ensure the privacy and safety of all our users, especially when it comes to the personal information of minors. For that reason, we adhere to the 1998 Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We make efforts to check the age of our users in order to avoid collecting personal information from children. If we learn the user submitting information to our site is a child we delete that information immediately.

All financial transactions to CALN are transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a reliable system that lets your web browser automatically encrypt data before you send it to us. We also protect account information by placing it on a portion of our Site that is only accessible by certain qualified CALN staff. Transmission of any data over the Internet is not 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we are not able to ensure or warrant the security of such information.
Refund Policy
CALN is grateful for your donation and support of our mission. Our organization relies on donations from the public and thus considers all donations to be nonrefundable. However, CALN may consider returning donations to the donor in limited circumstances. If you have made an error in making your donation or changed your mind about contributing to our organization, please contact us. CALN will only give consideration to your request if such request is made within ninety (90) days of the original donation. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. For example, if you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card. You are responsible for any and all tax considerations that may arise if your donation is refunded.
